25.1.2012 | Exhibition “inspired by nature” in Amsterdam presents “crossing”!

Within the scope of the exhibition “inspired by nature” (February 18 and 19, 2012) “De Woordensmederij” in Amsterdam will present “crossing”.

10.1.2012 | Technical support for DigiEnsemble Berlin!

Within the scope of “ZWANZIG ZWÖLF” on 01/01/2012 three soloists from unique smartphone “DigiEnsemble Berlin” played “Morning” by Edvard Grieg accompanied by the MDR Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jun Märkl. In the foreground of the musical experiment was the equal dialogue between new technology and old masters. I was happy to provide technical support for the three iPhone-musicians.

27.12.2011 | “crossing” successfully completed

For the video “crossing” of the Hungarian mixed media artist Era Vati I produced an entirely new soundtrack. In addition to music (arrangement of the five-part vocal work “De Profundis” by JP Sweelinck, 1562 – 1621, for a chamber music quintet) and atmosphere, Era and me recreated – in the style of film foley artists – the sound of the movements of the five very different characters acting in her video “crossing”. With “crossing” Era is applying for participation in the “courtesan film festival” in Gent, Belgium (21. – 25.03.2012).

Since xmas 2011 the music streaming system for a dental clinic in Berlin-Wilmersdorf is completed successfully. The easy-to-use Logitech Radios enable the dental assistants to choose the right music program for their patients in order to realize them a pain-free stay in practice!

16.11.2011 | “Erntezeit” nominated twice!

Following the screening at the Babylon cinema in Berlin of all participating short-films (48 hour film project Berlin) our film “Erntezeit” was nominated in the categories editing (Vincent Tirpitz) and music (Bastian Schick).

14.11.2011 | “Erntezeit” successfully completed!

Within 48 h we (blobfish berlin film) have completed our short film named “Erntezeit” (genre: heist). We were lucky to submit the film only a few minutes before the deadline!

Screening is on Nov 15, 19 h at the Babylon Cinema, Berlin.

8.11.2011 | Series of lectures on film music at Café “Handbestand”, Berlin

The series of lectures on film music, which began in collaboration with Thomas Voigt (www.handbestand.de) on the theme “The sound of a shark” (August 29, 2011) an “The sound of magic” (November 7, 2011) will be continued on the theme “The sound of death” on February 20, 2012, 8 pm, about film composer Ennio Morricone.

17.10.2011 | Streaming music for dental patients

On behalf of interior designer Bettina Hagedorn I implement a music streaming system for a dental clinic in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. Chilling music will enable patients, dentists and dental assistants a pain-free stay in practice.

23.9.2011 | Film music for the TV series “Deckname Luna”

At the request of “Moe Jaksch Rockin Chair“ and director Ute Wieland I produced a piano piece (“Fly me to the moon”) for the TV series “Deckname Luna” last week. An exact broadcast date (2012) is not confirmed yet.

9.9.2011 | Sound-Safari with Mike La Funk

On September 9 Mike La Funk and I were out and about in the scope of the Berlin Club Night. With my Tascam field recorder we recorded club sounds, visitors with high heels, U-Bahn (subway) rides, closing doors, public announcements and all kinds of other noises. I’m currently producing a jingle and music logo for Mike and his DJ gigs, as well as for his Soundcloud channel. Once the production is done, you’ll be able to listen to some tunes on here!
